Mohamed Salah could strike a killer blow to Jesse Marsch’s reign as Leeds manager on Saturday when Liverpool welcome the Whites to Anfield – exclusively live on talkSPORT.

Jurgen Klopp’s side were beaten 1-0 by bottom-of-the-table Nottingham Forest last time out in the league before winning 3-0 away at Ajax in midweek.

This variety of results have led to a poor start to the season for Liverpool but they have still managed to maintain their unbeaten record at home.

The Reds are unbeaten in 29 games at Anfield, winning 22 and drawing seven.

The two times that they have faced Leeds in this streak, they came out on top as 4-3 and 6-0 winners.

In these two victories, Salah boasts a superb record as he has been involved in six goals, scoring five and assisting one.

The Egyptian scored a hat-trick in 2020 before netting a brace from the penalty spot in an emphatic win last season.

The two teams meet for the first time this campaign and it is looking likely that Salah will play a big part in breaking the Whites down yet again.

He has created 28 chances in 11 games this season which is more than any other player in open play this season.

This is an average of 2.6 chances per game which is his best rate in a single season in the Premier League.

If it didn’t spell danger for the visitors already, then Marsch will want to look away now, as Liverpool are unbeaten in ten meetings between the two since 2001.

The American boss’ side are also winless away from home this season with putting a stop to that run looking to be an impossible task on paper.

Salah will be rubbing his hands together at the prospect of another game against Leeds while Marsch will be fearing for his job ahead of the game.
