Bournemouth's Lewis Grabban joins Aston Villa to go on loan for second time this season

Lewis Grabban has joined Championship club Aston Villa on loan until the end of the season.

The Cherries striker came back to the south coast earlier this month after cutting short a loan spell at Sunderland in which he scored 12 goals in 19 appearances.

Fellow Championship high-fliers Cardiff were allegedly interested in the frontman's signature, but Grabban elected to join the Claret and Blues.

Grabban scored against the Birmingham-based side in their 2-1 defeat of Sunderland in their Championship clash in November.

Eddie Howe's side had been hoping to secure a permanent sale but struggled to find a buyer.
