Everton FC transfer news: Ademola Lookman joins Bundesliga club RB Leipzig on loan until end of season

Lookman has made 16 appearances for Everton this season

Everton forward Ademola Lookman has joined RB Leipzig on loan until the end of the season. 

Lookman, who signed for the Toffees in the January transfer window last season from Charlton, has made the move to last season's Bundesliga runners-up to continue his development. 

This comes as a surprise to many as Everton boss Sam Allardyce said on Monday that Lookman would not be leaving the club. 

The England under-21 international has made 16 appearances for Everton this campaign, with most of those coming in cup competitions. 

The forward, 20, scored on his Toffees debut in a 4-0 drubbing of Manchester City in January 2017 despite only coming on as a 90th-minute substitute.
