The 29-year-old becomes the Magpies’ second signing of the window

Newcastle have signed Leicester City striker Islam Slimani on loan for the rest of the season.
The Magpies will reportedly pay a fee of £2million for the Algerian striker after allowing Aleksandar Mitrovic to leave the club.
Slimani has fallen down the pecking order at the King Power Stadium under manager Claude Puel making 12 appearances for the club this season.
The 29-year-old joined the Foxes in the summer of 2016 for a club-record transfer fee of £28million but has enjoyed limited success during his time in the Premier League.
Slimani becomes the Magpies’ second signing of the window after Chelsea midfielder Kenedy completed his respective loan deal to St. James’ Park.
