Reece Oxford has returned to Borussia Monchengladbach for the remainder of the season

West Ham have announced young defender Reece Oxford has returned to Borussia Monchengladbach on a temporary basis.

The 19-year-old was with the Bundesliga club throughout the first half of the campaign, though he was recalled by the Hammers at the beginning of January.

He made two FA Cup appearances and played a few minutes in the Premier League, but has now returned to Germany for the remainder of 2017-18.

Oxford will be hoping to add to the four appearances he has already made for Gladbach this season.
