Arsenal FC news: Snow covers Emirates and 'Beast from the East' could postpone Man City Premier League game

Weather has forced Arsenal to postpone Premier League games previously

Days after being hammered 3-0 by Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final, Arsenal are due to play Pep Guardiola’s table toppers again.
However, Thursday's Premier League clash may not even go ahead if the ‘Beast from the East’ continues to batter Britain with the Emirates pitch covered in snow.
Arsenal do have undersoil heating at their stadium, which would be able to clear the snow if it was not too heavy.
But the surrounding area around the ground could be hazardous for fans, which is a safety fear for the local Islington Council.
In January 2010, the club postponed a game against Bolton when weather wrecked havoc on the country (above) and despite ‘red weather warnings’ being issued by the Met Office in parts of the UK, Man City plan to travel to London on Thursday - when more snow is scheduled to fall - and not the night before.
And should the club actually fail to turn up, Premier League rules mean the Gunners would be awarded a 3-0 win if it is the other team's fault they cannot fulfil the fixture.
