Transfer report: Everton flop Cenk Tosun to return to Besiktas in the summer?

Cenk Tosun is yet to score since joining Everton for £27million in January

Everton are reportedly considering sending January signing Cenk Tosun back to Besiktas on loan in the summer.

Tosun, who joined the Toffees in a £27million move last month, has endured a torrid start to life in England with Sam Allardyce recently questioning the striker's talent.

The 26-year-old is yet to get off the mark for his new club and he has made just four appearances since moving to Goodison Park.

Allardyce, whose own future has come under scrutiny in recent weeks, has been so unimpressed with Tosun that he has reportedly told Everton to consider sending the Turkey international back to Besiktas in the summer, according to Fotomac.

Tosun is expected to be part of the Everton squad who travel to Burnley on Saturday, but it would seem his future on Merseyside is now in some doubt unless he can resurrect his poor start to life in England.
