AP Photos: Editor selections from the past week in AsiaRescuers have worked for days to try to get access farther into a flooded cave in northern Thailand where 12 boys and their soccer coach are missing. Days of rain have raised water levels, stalling progress by divers trying to navigate the flooded passages, and rescuers are trying to drain the water and looking for other ways into the cave.

Following Manchester City’s defeat at Newcastle last night, the Reds could have put themselves in a commanding position at the summit and got off to the perfect start when Sadio Mane gave Liverpool the lead after just two minutes. But the Reds were lacklustre and let Leicester back in it when Harry Maguire took advantage of some slack defending to equalise just before the break. Travelling Liverpool fans were caught up in trouble ahead of Saturday’s showdown against Real Madrid , after being apparently attacked in a restaurant. The Daily Mirror published a video of violent scenes, claiming a group of Reds supporters were attacked by a 'gang on masked hooligans'. Ukrainian police announced two foreigners had been injured "in a fight" at the city centre establishment, and that two arrests had been made. Reports said the incident occurred at the Rooster Grill.
