2026 FIFA World Cup™ bidding process – report of independent audit company published

Following the designation by the 68th FIFA Congress of Canada, Mexico and the United States as the hosts of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, auditing company BDO has submitted to FIFA a report with their main findings and observations on the bidding process.

Following Manchester City’s defeat at Newcastle last night, the Reds could have put themselves in a commanding position at the summit and got off to the perfect start when Sadio Mane gave Liverpool the lead after just two minutes. But the Reds were lacklustre and let Leicester back in it when Harry Maguire took advantage of some slack defending to equalise just before the break. Champions League final: Two injured as Liverpool fans are attacked in Kiev

Travelling Liverpool fans were caught up in trouble ahead of Saturday’s showdown against Real Madrid , after being apparently attacked in a restaurant. The Daily Mirror published a video of violent scenes, claiming a group of Reds supporters were attacked by a 'gang on masked hooligans'. Ukrainian police announced two foreigners had been injured "in a fight" at the city centre establishment, and that two arrests had been made. Reports said the incident occurred at the Rooster Grill.
