Spain and Mexico punch final tickets

Spain and Mexico will meet in the final of the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup Uruguay 2018 after beating New Zealand and Canada respectively in the semi-finals. It will be the Iberians' second appearance in the title-decider, having also progressed to this stage in 2014, but for Mexico it marks a historic first.

Following Manchester City’s defeat at Newcastle last night, the Reds could have put themselves in a commanding position at the summit and got off to the perfect start when Sadio Mane gave Liverpool the lead after just two minutes. Travelling Liverpool fans were caught up in trouble ahead of Saturday’s showdown against Real Madrid , after being apparently attacked in a restaurant. The Daily Mirror published a video of violent scenes, claiming a group of Reds supporters were attacked by a 'gang on masked hooligans'.
