Spain win Group D after rout of Canada

Spain finished play in Group D at the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup Uruguay 2018 with a 5-0 rout of Canada in Montevideo thanks to a brace from Irene Lopez and goals by Salma Paralluelo, Claudia Pina and Eva Navarro.

Following Manchester City’s defeat at Newcastle last night, the Reds could have put themselves in a commanding position at the summit and got off to the perfect start when Sadio Mane gave Liverpool the lead after just two minutes. But the Reds were lacklustre and let Leicester back in it when Harry Maguire took advantage of some slack defending to equalise just before the break. The Daily Mirror published a video of violent scenes, claiming a group of Reds supporters were attacked by a 'gang on masked hooligans'.
