He was on the verge of a professional football career with Bayern Munich, having played with the likes of Mats Hummels and Thomas Muller, before choosing a new path at the age of 24, involving sports studies and a career as a futsal player.

Following Manchester City’s defeat at Newcastle last night, the Reds could have put themselves in a commanding position at the summit and got off to the perfect start when Sadio Mane gave Liverpool the lead after just two minutes. Travelling Liverpool fans were caught up in trouble ahead of Saturday’s showdown against Real Madrid , after being apparently attacked in a restaurant. The Daily Mirror published a video of violent scenes, claiming a group of Reds supporters were attacked by a 'gang on masked hooligans'.
