Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is hoping to boost his squad ahead of the new Premier League season.

The Gunners won the FA Cup in 2019/20 and again showed the potential they have under Arteta by beating Liverpool to win the traditional curtain-raiser for the new season, the Community Shield.

They need reinforcements, however, to close the gap on the top clubs in the league and they are expected to do to plenty of business in the coming weeks.

Travelling Liverpool fans were caught up in trouble ahead of Saturday’s showdown against Real Madrid , after being apparently attacked in a restaurant. The Daily Mirror published a video of violent scenes, claiming a group of Reds supporters were attacked by a 'gang on masked hooligans'. Ukrainian police announced two foreigners had been injured "in a fight" at the city centre establishment, and that two arrests had been made. Reports said the incident occurred at the Rooster Grill.
