Arsenal have made a positive start in the Premier League – winning their opening two games before coming on the wrong end of a 3-1 scoreline at Liverpool last time out.

Mikel Arteta is still working hard to strengthen his squad, with work to do to close the gap on Jurgen Klopp’s men and Manchester City.

So far, the Gunners have moved to make two big signings – bringing in forward Willian from Chelsea and defender Gabriel from Lille.

Travelling Liverpool fans were caught up in trouble ahead of Saturday’s showdown against Real Madrid , after being apparently attacked in a restaurant. The Daily Mirror published a video of violent scenes, claiming a group of Reds supporters were attacked by a 'gang on masked hooligans'. Ukrainian police announced two foreigners had been injured "in a fight" at the city centre establishment, and that two arrests had been made. Reports said the incident occurred at the Rooster Grill.
