Dele Alli linked with transfer deadline day move to Everton, while Crystal Palace want loan deal for Tottenham outcast
Everton want to sign Dele Alli, while Crystal Palace are keen on taking him on loan, talkSPORT understands.
The Tottenham outcast has been heavily linked with a move away from the north London club amid his struggles for form in recent seasons.
And he could get that move on deadline day with the Toffees understood to be willing to sign him on a permanent deal.
Palace are also interested in the 25-year-old, however, they’re looking for a loan deal until the end of the season.
If Alli was also to choose Everton he would team up with Frank Lampard, who’s set to be appointed as Rafael Benitez’s permanent replacement.
Former Spurs boss Harry Redknapp believes Lampard can be the one who can get Alli’s career back on track.
Redknapp told talkSPORT Breakfast: “He’s been linked with Dele Alli, I’d love to see him take Dele Alli and turn his career around.
“He’s a great talent, someone somewhere, and Dele Alli also, needs to get him back on track. There’s a great player in there somewhere.”
Eagles boss Patrick Vieira is keen on bringing in an attacking midfielder having seemingly missed out on the loan signing of Donny van de Beek.
The Manchester United outcast is set to complete a loan move to Goodison Park and Redknapp also holds hope Lampard can get the best out of the struggling Dutchman too.
Redknapp added: “Frank knows he needs some results. They are sucked into it for sure. He’s getting the boy from Man United hopefully today, whose career needs resurrecting.
“His confidence is low, but there’s a footballer is there. We saw him at Ajax, the boy can really play.
“It’s up to Frank now to get the best out of him.”
