The clock is ticking and time is running out for clubs to get deals done in the January transfer window.

Newcastle have made their third signing of the month after clinching a £30m deal for Bruno Guimaraes, while the Magpies are also pursuing Dan Burn.

Everton’s search for a new manager has taken a few unexpected twists and turns but now look set to appoint Frank Lampard.

talkSPORT understands the Toffees want to have their new manager in place before Monday’s transfer deadline and Lampard is the leading candidate after Friday’s final round of interviews.

Tottenham have lost out to Liverpool in their pursuit of Luis Diaz from Porto, with that deal set to be confirmed imminently.

Spurs are still hopeful of making signings before the transfer window closes as they target a double swoop from Juventus.
