Tottenham star Harry Kane has admitted that the club have lost their values since Mauricio Pochettino left.

Spurs find themselves fifth in the Premier League, which on the face of it does not look too bad, but a look at their form tells a different story.

They are already on their third manager of the season after Antonio Conte and then interim coach Cristian Stellini were sacked with Ryan Mason taking charge until the end of the season.

It epitomises a miserable few years at the north London outfit where Conte and Jose Mourinho have arrived as big names but departed with damaged reputations.

The two coaches also have a starkly different brand of football than Pochettino, who was known for his attacking tactics and ability to develop young players.

And club talisman Kane has admitted that Tottenham have lost their way somewhat in the past few years when Conte and Mourinho were in charge, as well as Nuno Espirito Santo, who lasted less than four months in charge.

He said: “They are conversations that need to be had toward the end of the season.

“I feel like we lost a bit of what the values are at this club over the last few years.

“It’s about finding a way to get back on the same page again and obviously even with the fans as well.

“The fans were great (against Manchester United) on Thursday, getting behind us and being with us and Ryan and having that relationship.

“I’m not going to express it all here but there are conversations that we’re open to having because ultimately we all want to improve and get better.

“That goes from the top right through the club and that’s our aim.”

Kane was pressed on Tottenham’s time under Pochettino, who is on the brink of joining London rivals Chelsea, and he said: “Yeah I think whenever you have a good moment as a team, I think we had three or four really good years when we were competing at the very top and that was without spending loads of money.

“We had a really good mixture of young and experienced players. It’s impossible in football to click your fingers and go back to the good times and say ‘let’s go back to what it was’, because every season and every situation is different.

“But I feel like there were some values at that time and some culture that really made us achieve the things we did.

“So maybe we’ve lost parts of that over the last few years and it’s about looking back at that and seeing the good things we can take from that and trying to implement that in the future.”

Kane’s future is a huge problem at Tottenham where his contract will expire next summer.

The England international is pondering whether to let his deal run down and leave for nothing or look to leave this summer.

Manchester United are keen on the striker as they look to bolster their frontline, as well as Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain.
