Roy Hodgson can set unbeaten Old Trafford record as Manchester United suffer injury nightmare ahead of Crystal Palace clash
Manchester United are suffering from an injury crisis ahead of their clash with Crystal Palace on Saturday, live on talkSPORT.
The Red Devils host Palace for the second time in five days at Old Trafford but it won't be easy with many key players sidelined.
Manager Erik ten Hag has confirmed two more injuries to his squad in his press conference ahead of the game.
Defenders Lisandro Martinez and Sergio Reguilon have now joined the long list of Man United’s absentees.
And Martinez’s injury looks to be a significant one, with the centre-back ruled out for an ‘extended period’ after aggravating his foot injury.
Both players are now set for a spell off the pitch along with Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Amad Diallo and Kobbie Mainoo.

Mason Mount, Raphael Varane and Harry Maguire have all also recently recovered from knocks and only just returned to action.
The sheer amount of injuries at Man United leaves them light on numbers in their squad, with concerns rising over a positive result this weekend.
And when looking at recent stats, these concerns will be increased.
Ten Hag’s side have conceded five goals in the last two home Premier League games which is only one less than in their previous 17 league matches at Old Trafford.

That defensive form is concerning and now after losing two more defenders to injury, things could get worse on home soil.
On the other hand, though, Roy Hodgson will be encouraged by the host’s recent woes at the back and he will be hoping his side take full advantage.
The Crystal Palace boss himself boasts a great record when travelling to face Man United, going unbeaten in his last four trips to Old Trafford.
He now has the chance to become the first manager ever to go five consecutive games without losing away from home against the Red Devils.
Palace lost this fixture last campaign under Patrick Vieira but now Hodgson is back in the dugout to try and continue his impressive streak.
The 76-year-old’s return is not good news for United and they will be even more concerned to hear they haven’t managed to win back-to-back games against Palace since 2018.
Ten Hag’s side have endured a poor start to the season but returned to winning ways against Burnley last week.
They’ll be aiming to build on that positivity this time around, however, it may prove to be a tough task as they try to put an end to Hodgson and Palace’s joy at Old Trafford.
