Image
https://ift.tt/2rcewJi West Ham are three points above the Premier League's relegation zone Monday, April 30, 2018 West Ham boss David Moyes has been involved in a huge bust up with striker Andy Carroll , according to reports. Carroll, 29, is thought to have been angry at being overlooked on Sunday as West Ham went down to a dismal 4-1 Premier League defeat at home to Manchester City .  Football London have claimed the pair were involed in a “heated exchange” at the club’s Rush Green training ground on Monday.  The former Newcastle man caused controversy when he made his way down the tunnel after Moyes made a triple substitution in the second-half which did not include Carroll.  When asked about Carroll’s actions in the press conference after the game, Moyes said he would “deal with it”.  Carroll’s angry expressions were caught on camera and this reportedly carried on into the next day. West Ham news website Claret & Hugh claimed that “there...

Tottenham 2-0 Watford: Alli and Kane strikes helps Spurs go five points clear of Chelsea

Image
https://ift.tt/2Fui6mE Tottenham gave their hopes of securing Champions League football for next season an almighty boost as goals from Dele Alli and Harry Kane handed them a routine 2-0 win over Watford at Wembley.  It was a game that Spurs dare not lose after Chelsea closed the gap on fourth place to two points over the weekend, but in truth, the home side barely broke sweat.  Watford gifted Mauricio Pochettino's men the lead on 16 minutes when Orestis Karnezis fumbled Kieran Trippier's searching cross which saw Christian Eriksen swipe the ball away from the keeper and Alli gratefully gobbled up the chance.  Returning Spurs keeper Hugo Lloris made a good one-one-one save to deny Andre Gray to preserve Spurs's lead moments later.   And they made the visitors pay just after the break, when Kane tucked away Trippier's low cross after initially fulffing his lines when Heung-min Son laid the ball on a plate for him.  Kane then mis...

The defender has enjoyed another brilliant season in Italy and once again he is the source of intense transfer speculation. Chelsea, who failed with a £47m bid for the 26-year-old in the summer of 2016, maintain a strong interest. However the Senegal international’s agent, Bruno Satin, cannot confirm that his client won’t look to leave. “It’s important to understand how the season will end because important players want to play the Champions League ,” Satin told Radio Crc. “Is Koulibaly worth €100m (£89m)? Betis sold the midfielder to Real Madrid last summer as part of a deal worth around £16m. The European champions beat off a host of clubs to sign the Spaniard, including Arsenal, Barcelona and Chelsea . As a mark of their expectations for Ceballos, Real inserted a €500m (£440m) release clause in the 21-year-old’s contract when he joined. However, the youngster has failed to break into the first team at the Bernabeu and he is ready to leave already. Liverpool have made contact with Ceballos about a move and are trying to persuade him to come to England. But, according to AS, the Spain under-21 international is edging closer to a return to Betis. Joe Hart latest: Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola addresses goalkeeper’s future following West Ham loan

Image
https://ift.tt/2w0UYN7 Joe Hart Monday, April 30, 2018 Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola says he will take the "right decision" for Joe Hart if West Ham opt not to sign the goalkeeper on a permanent deal. Hart's future is uncertain as he nears the end of his loan spell with the Hammers, with boss David Moyes insisting no decision will be made until the end of the season. The 31-year-old has a year left on his City contract but has little chance of re-establishing himself as number one after Guardiola decided to send him out on loan. Guardiola admitted: "I think that was the toughest decision I've made since I was a manager. "He was an incredible professional when we were together, and there are no doubts about his quality. "But I am here to make decisions, sometimes good, sometimes not. We will find out in the future. "He's our player and, if he does not continue here next season, we will talk. Belgium defender Alderweireld is expected to leave Tottenham when the transfer window opens after failing to agree a new contract with the White Hart Lane club. The 29-year-old only has one year remaining on his currently deal. Therefore, Spurs want to cash in on him this summer and, according to The Sun, Chelsea are said to be planning a £45million bid. Alderweireld has barely featured for Spurs this season due to a hamstring injury and the ongoing dispute over his contract which has seen him make just 18 appearances in all competitions. Six things we learned from the weekend's Premier League action

Image
https://ift.tt/2HDqZQH Wenger continues to find that some unexpected people have a lot of nice things to say about him. For most of the 1990s and 2000s it would have inconceivable to imagine Wenger's departure from Arsenal being marked by applause at Old Trafford and a presentation to him by Sir Alex Ferguson and Jose Mourinho. But time, and a lack of direct competition, have mellowed once bitter relations. Generosity did not extend to the result, though, as Marouane Fellaini headed a stoppage-time winner. Monday, April 30, 2018 Manchester City continued their pursuit of Premier League records while Arsene Wenger was given a different reception to normal at Old Trafford. The scrap to avoid relegation at the bottom, meanwhile, shows no sign of simplifying, with ten clubs still mathematically involved. The battle to beat the drop is tighter than ever, and West Ham United's thrashing at the hands of champions City adds even greater significance to Southampton's...

Tottenham Hotspur FC team news: Predicted line up for Premier League clash with Watford

https://ift.tt/2Fl9EWN Monday, April 30, 2018 Tottenham will be looking to return to winning ways when they face Watford on Monday night.  It has been a rotten few weeks for Mauricio Pochettino's side, who were dumped out of the FA Cup by Manchester United last Saturday.  Their league form has suffered, too. Defeat to Manchester City and failure to win at Brighton saw their ten-point lead over fifth-placed Chelsea cut in half.  Victory will be essential if they are to remain comfortable in the top four ahead of their London rivals.  The Hornets haven't had much luck in the league either, with no win in their last six games.  Who will Pochettino pick to try and rediscover some form?
